COMING HOME

Yes, Vienna. I'm coming home. And not just for the weekend. But also not for good. I'm coming
home for a week and I'll be working from home for a few days. Although I have to get a lot of things
done, I'm looking forward to see my family and friends again. I'm excited about strolling around,
going to coffee shops I know, looking and being at familiar places, and to not feel like a newbie.

Funny thing is: My new home is coming home too. Pop into Berlin is coming to Vienna SneakIn
and I'm going to see a few Berlin faces there. I hope I'll be seeing you guys there too. You should
definitely drop by! Even if I have to work, I am looking forward to being home again. The last
days – well, actually the last weeks – were really tiring. So I hope this little 'vacation' will be at
least a little bit relaxing.

SUNDAYINSPIRATION: HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

'F O C U S  O N  Y O U R   O W N   S H I T.'

Besides the happenings around me, quotes are also an important source of inspiration for me.
Thought I'd start a new category #sundayinspiration, where I post some of the quotes, I currently can
connect with, sentences/words that I try to follow when it comes to life. All I can say about today's
choice of quotes: easier said than done. So welcome to a new OFS category and the shortest blogpost
ever.

NOT MY STYLE SUNDAY

I don't have much to say. Just one thing: SHOES - ACTUALLY NOT MY STYLE.
And I think y'all guessed so by reading my FINALLY post a few days ago. Well, here's a
new category of OFS. I'd like to call it: "NOT MY STYLE sunday"

The funny thing is, that I bought these pair of sneakers like when I was at the age of 13 or
14 I guess. Yes, they still fit. And yes, I still didn't throw them away. Now I think that they're
kinda cute. But this doesn't mean that they fit my style. They actually don't. I'd prefer to walk
around the streets of Berlin in my much loved heels. Too bad that the construction of the streets
here makes it impossible to wear them. What I like about these so called shoes?
I like the white in combination with the lilac touch. Another funny fact is that they
were actually never comfortable at all. But I think that is because I was never a sneaker person.
For me, they're just too flat. After wearing them, my feet hurt like hell and my feet were sore as f*.
Guess this was the last time wearing them. Or maybe not. We'll see.

KNITWEAR PROBLEMS

Berlin. It's gettin' cold. And there's one thing I forgot. I forgot all my winter jackets in Vienna.
Still two weeks left until I fly back to get some things done. Will I survive these temperatures?
I could buy a jacket here but let's be honest. This winter came way too early. So I am convincing
myself that I will survive the next couple of days with my hardcore-layering methods.

If I survived years of my own stupidity of always wearing skirts or dresses at sub-zero temperatures,
this will be an easy game.

After all, there's one thing I always asked myself. My knit-jumper is cosy and really thick. It keeps
me warm. Unfortunately days are getting colder and wearing a jumper without a jacket won't be
enough. Wearing a thick sweater leads to one major problem: My arm won't fit through the sleeve
anymore. No. I won't buy my jackets one size bigger. First of all: They just fit right. Second of all:
If I'd go for a larger size, the over-all fitting won't look good anymore. Also, only thicker knitwear is
leading to this problem. But wearing a lighter jumper leads to the problem of freezing. I know if I'd
just buy a winter jacket, all problems would be solved. But there are still between-season days where
no one would wear a winter jacket. What do you do in that case?

FINALLY!

Sitting in the kitchen, scrolling through Facebook, I saw this post from Highsnobiety today.
And I was about to post this as a life event on my profile haha. Don't get me wrong. To live and
let live. But I've had enough of this sneaker talk I always had to get through, when I was out with
friends. Luckily, my friends all take it with a great deal of humor. I have to admit. They know how to
kill it. But I miss seeing girls wearing heels when I go out. I miss the boys who develop into men
wearing (full-grain)-leather shoes with the perfect cut. Instead, I see people wearing this robot-shoes
that seem to be bigger than their own heads. I am also a fan of being comfortable. But where has the
time gone, where people wore sneakers to exercise? I think I would also prefer wearing espadrilles to
exercise (I'm not, I'm the laziest person ever) just to avoid wearing sneakers. No offense. As
mentioned at the very beginning.  To live and let live. But this whole sneaker-thing is, was, and will
never be my cup of tea. YES. I am a fan of men wearing chelsea boots. Yes, I find it attractive. And
yes. This day will be one of the best days of my life.

Dear male readers. Go ahead & buy a good pair of chelseas. But once you start wearing UGGS,
it's pretty clear, that you don't get my point.

BLACK BALLOONS & BUBBLES

photo: Marco di Filippo for sisterMAG BTS

Not sure what it is, but I'm a sucka for balloons. Little did I know that I enjoy blowing bubbles too.
Well, let's say make them. Because I made giant bubbles. Here are some shots our photographers
took, during the sisterMAG shooting. Work, that doesn't really feel like work. Considering that there
were balloons and bubbles included, it more sounds like fun than hard work, right? Well, we were all
working hard AND had fun. A great team spirit even made these exhausting days really enjoyable.
There's nothing more, that anyone could wish for. So working last weekend wasn't that bad. As one
of my co-workers said: 'take it as an experience' – and it definitely was one of the best I've ever had
so far. Now I understand, why my creative friends - or as I call them – my creative heads, are
enjoying every single project so much. Before I started my time at sisterMAG, I always knew that
writing is what I love and what I wanna do. But there's more. More that I can do. I can do both. I can
enjoy writing as much as I enjoy seeing the result of this shooting. I love the fact of being involved in
this creative process. I love working with experienced people, people that are hungry to try different
things, different settings, people that are willing to spend their weekend the'd have off work, creating
something that other people will enjoy at some point – in this case, when the new issue will be
published. I enjoy working and making bubbles and poppin' balloons (even if it was a bit scary with
these giant balloons we used). I enjoy work that doesn't feel like work! It is exhausting but still
satisfying at the end of the day. I enjoy every single day here. And that is exactly what I was hoping
and praying for. To find a place where I can finally enjoy what I do.

Who said that people have to be all serious to be professional? We definitely haven't been the
uptight pro-team during our four days of shooting. But we have been a team that knew how to
get shit done without taking it too serious. We've been working hard without forgetting that there's
more to it. Without forgetting that every single moment should been seized and enjoyed.
We just worked together. Worked in terms of work and a team that just clicked. We even managed
to wear black on set as a uniform without even arranging it, haha. Now here are some shots of
our behind the scenes pictures.
