A SCREAMING SYMPHONY

Do you remember when I told you about that awesome band called "A Screaming Symphony"? Yes, the official website is now online and the biography was written by me.

When you enter the website the first thing you should do is listen to their song "Future Smiles".
Here is the latest video to the song:

VIENNA FASHION NIGHT 2013

As I promised just a little story about my Vienna Fashion Night visit. Actually the VFN team wanted to combine fashion, fun and charity. Therefore they wanted to have a glamorous late night shopping event. Fashionlovers had the chance to stroll in the 1st district of Vienna and see a very completely different perspective. There were a lot of specials but I didn't get to check them out because I was filming some stuff for my final presentation in advertising.
Too bad. There were also a lot of pop ups I wish I could have gone to.

Therefor I made it to the fashionshow. The location "Michelerkuppel" was stunning. Red romantic dimmed light, red carpet, spotlights... The place to be for all fashionlovers?
I apologize the poor quality of the pictures, but as I mentioned in my last post, I just had my phone to take pictures - but if you want to see more click here for official pics.
Anyhow, the show started with the "Red Show" sponsored by Coca-Cola light. The Cocktaildresses were designed by Lena Hoschek.

In collaboration with FEWA the students from Modeschule Wien Hetzendorf presented their dresses in the 2nd show part.

My favorite show part was the presentation of the austrolabel GON by the designer Christina Steiner. I fell in love with E V E R Y single piece. And I also loved the BARBARA BUI collection!
These two parts MADE MY NIGHT ! such eyecandies <3

The final part was by FASHIONATION - the high end department of Peek & Cloppenburg. This multi-label show would have been better if they'd have surprised with some more new stuff but yeah. It was okay.

I'm curious .. Vienna, show me whatcha got.

QUICK PREVIEW: VIENNA FASHION NIGHT

I just came home from the Vienna Fashion Night and it was... interesting. There was a little bit of everything. Things I loved, things I liked and things that - to put it lightly -  surprised me.

It was a really long and exhausting day so I'll tell you everything in detail in one of my next posts and I will also add some pics so you can get an impression. Well, at least I'll try - to be honest I have no idea if the pics I took aren't too blurry. Just to be honest, it might take a little until my next post as I'm still preparing for my exams - as usual :(

So for now I wish y'all a good night!

VIENNA FASHION NIGHT

It's been a while since my last post. As usual I had lots to do as I am preparing for my exams. But here's just a quick update. I'm going to Vienna Fashion Night tomorrow and I'm already looking forward to it. It'll be a stressful day as me and my group gotta lot to do for our final presentation.

So there will be more than 80 boutiques participating Vienna Fashion Night with lots of specials.
Good thing is: half of proceeds of the stores and all proceeds of Vienna Fashion Night Onliny Charity Stores  will go to charity Österreichische Herzfonds.

See u there ?

BASICS AND REFLECTION

In one of my earlier posts, I mentioned a brunch-date with K. While we were taking a walk through the inner city, we came across this spot and fell in love with this one.
You're not goin' to believe this, but actually this place is still under construction. It's going to be a restaurant / bar which is not just going to provide good food, but focussing on modern architecture.

I'm curious 'bout it. :) We'll figure it out soon. Maybe when we have our next brunch-date. :D

RESEARCH SATURDAY

Spending weekends at work is one thing - but a 6 hour-course at university isn't funny at all. Well, believe it or not. This saturday me and my group had a blast ! All of the attendants of my printjournalism course had to split up in teams and find a story for the next reports.

We got 3 spots to find our story. The first one was a bio-market, the second one a antique dealers' exhibition/market, and the last one a jam session in Vienna.
There were a lot of stories we could write about but there was just one big problem: They were boring.

After all we thought about writing a portrait of the simply raw bakery and its vegan cupcakes which were delicious. As there were other groups on this market, we decided to drop this story in case someone would have the same idea. But you should definetly try 'em cupcakes!!!

Best part of our cupcake research

So we left the bio-market without a story. Visiting the antique dealers' exhibition we recognized, that the stories that came up there were just too historical for our taste. Still no story.

While we were waiting for the jam sessions to start, we saw this rikshaw - driver. One of my team members mentioned, that she'd never been on a 'faxi' before. Actually, this was my first time too. So yeah, to put it in a nutshell: This was our first rikshaw tour in Vienna. The driver came up with unbelievable stories and it was a cool experience. We got what we needed and never went back to the jam sessions haha.

P.S. Sorry for the poor quality - the pictures were taken with my iPhone.
