NEW CLOTHES FOR YOU - NEW HOME FOR THEM. While we're all celebrating and enjoying the holidays hard-hit urban areas are finally getting adequate supplies. Just think of you opening your christmas present while families are facing damaged homes and blocked roads. We still hear the cries of the suffering.

KAPIT BISIG - LINKING ARMS - an event where everyone had the chance to enjoy delicious food, good music and the latest collection of some young viennese designers such as ANNA, VIERECK, WIENER JUGENDSTIL, HOPE FOR THE PHILIPPINES & URBAN MOVEMENT x O V E R D O S E with their waterprooPH shirts.
I went crazy and even bought myself a stuffed toy. The best part: SHOPPING on a sunday :P


A huge amount of the proceeds will be donated. I'll keep you updated 'bout the total proceeds.
*update: 2.410 euros were donated

I really enjoyed being there yesterday. Congrats Chels. It was an enjoyable sunday. And thank you  everyone for not being cold-hearted at all.

RHELIEF

I'm always excited when I'm expecting a delivery from the post man. This time he brought me this  RHOD RHELIEF bracelet that I got myself as an early christmas present. Not only that I love the jewerly by the talented Rhoxanne Villasenor but also a huge amount of sales will be donated to UNICEF to help thousands filipinos back there.

Christmas is the season if giving and sharing. Do a good deed !

HAND IN HAND - CHARITY EVENT ZUGUNSTEN DER TAIFUN OPFER AUF DEN PHILIPPINEN

 

"Jede Katastrophe hat so etwas wie eine Halbwertszeit - oder genau genommen, sogar zwei davon: Die eine betrifft das Mitleid, die Aufmerksamkeit und die Hilfsbereitschaft für ihre Opfer, die andere die Folgen für die Betroffenen und die Beseitigung der Schäden.   (...) Während sich die Aufmerksamkeit anderen, aktuelleren Dramen zuwendet, beginnen die Probleme der Betroffenen auf den Philippinen erst jetzt richtig. Ihre Halbwertszeit währt weitaus länger: Wochen, Monate, Jahre." Dieser Profil Artikel (klick hier um den ganzen Artikel zu lesen) bringt es genau auf den Punkt.  Und genau hier wollen wir anknüpfen. Während die Katastrophe schon an vielen Menschen vorbei geht, und auch in der Berichterstattung etwas verschwimmt, ist das Thema für uns noch lange nicht abgeschlossen. 

 
Mode als Beitrag zur Menschlichkeit. Am 29. Dezember laden wir zu einem Get Together in der Pratersauna ein. Abgesehen von einem Flohmarkt werden auch verschiedenste Jungdesigner ihre kreativen Kreationen verkaufen, um ihren Beitrag zur Hilfestellung für die Betroffenen des Taifuns auf den Philippinen zu leisten. Mit dabei sind unter Anderem Wiener Jugendstil, Viereck und Urban Movement x O V E R D O $ E. Zusammen möchten wir den Opfern eine helfende Hand reichen.

NAVY BLUE

Okay Starbucks, seriously ? Where's my red cup ? My Toffee Nut Latte tastes good but would taste better in a red cup. I was hoping for some christmas spirit when I get my coffee and got this plain white cup to-go. For the first time I'm not excited 'bout christmas. I bought all of my presents online. Not quite sure why I don't care about christmas right now. Let's hope that I'm in a more christmassy mood within the next few days. There's a lot going on at work and university right now so I can't wait for the holidays to come. Good thing is that I don't have to spend this christmas eve' at the office like last year. It really was the worst x-mas I've ever had. We actually planned to have a good time at work and to make the best out of it but ended up with no food because our plan was to order and guess what - everything was closed. Already looking forward to spend some time with the family though.

I know. I really need to get an appointment to get my hair done! The thing is... I'm having trouble making a decision. Go back to being brunette, stay with this color or even go a little brighter ? I've been thinking a lot about my hair lately haha. More than I probably should. I really need to set my mind as THAT will never do! Hmm..HELP ! Having trouble with my hair color I decided to go with a navy blue outfit today and put that navy blue jacket on a navy blue blouse.

I love the fact that my male friends have been more into fashion lately than my girlfriends. Don't get me wrong. The simple V-neck and denim look can look good on you guys but you could change your garments from time to time. I prefer to go shopping with guys and this one is my fave shopping partners: my cousin Dominic G. Today we were on our way to university and thought about posting his outfit. Apart from that it's been a while since my last menswear post.  As you can see he's wearing his parka in some of the pictures. This is one thing I hate most about winter. Wearing a jacket means that you have to hide your outfit (that's why I choose freezing over zipping my jackets). I thought this was the perfect solution to this problem so this year I started buying more and more jackets in different colors, prints etc. but as you all can imagine my closet is now overstuffed. Anyways. I love the shirt Dominic is wearing here. There was a dress with the same print but they did not have my size. Good for him because he's always complaining that we're matching clothes unintentionally. Funny thing. Today we both bought the same shirt. He didn't feel very happy about it but hey, I saw it first haha.
